The Band-
Of A Revolution, better know as O.A.R is an American Rock band that was formed in 1996. The band has 5 full time musicians Marc Roberge (vocals, guitar), Richard On (guitar, backup vocals), Chris Culos (drums), Benj Gershman (bass guitar) and Jerry Depizzo (saxophone, guitar, backing vocals). The band also tours with Mikel Paris (keyboard, backing vocals).
How They Formed-
The Band was founded in 1996 by longtime friends Marc Roberge and Chris Culos. Richard On and Benj Gershman classmates of Marc and Chris at Wootton high School in Rockville Maryland were then recruited into the band. All four members of the band would eventual end up at Ohio State University together, Benj coming a year after the other guys. While attending Ohio State the band added Jerry Depizzo a fellow student and dorm mate at Ohio State. Jerry Official became a band member on September 21st 2000 while playing a show with the band at Mama Einstein’s in Athens Ohio. Below I have Quoted Mark Roberge official announcing Jerry into the band
“Alright Ladies and Gentleman we have a very special thing happening tonight for us. We have a very very special night right here. As you know or not know or don’t care or whatever. Ah past like three years or something we have been playing music with this guy, Jerry Depizzo and he’s never, we’ve never quite been sure you know? Is Jerry, is he in the band or is he just some guy, does he play saxophone or just that and hang out and shit. But Tonight I’d liked to, on behalf of the guys in the band and everyone here. If yall have a drink please raise it cause this is one of the most important days so far of my life. I’d like to welcome Mr. Jerry Depizzo into the band. Officially as a member of O.A.R. Jerry thank you we love you and welcome to the band.”

Mikel Paris Started touring with the band regularly at the end of 2005.
